Meet Kimberly: The Heart Behind Ellsworth Jewelers
I have a confession to make: I have loved sparkle for as long as I can remember.
As a little girl, I used to sneak into my grandmother's jewelry armoire and try on every single piece—the earrings that were far too big for my ears, the pendant necklaces that hung down to my belly, the ring she wore on her wedding day. I wasn't just playing dress-up. I was studying. I was already, somehow, falling in love with the way a single piece of jewelry could carry an entire life inside of it.
That little girl never stopped looking into the jewelry box. She just grew up and opened one of her own.
The Path That Led Me Here
People often ask me how I ended up as the owner of a fine jewelry store in Downeast Maine, and the truthful answer is: every step of my life pointed me here, even when I didn't know it yet.
I've always been drawn to the in-between moments—the ones that matter most but often go unmarked. The quiet "I'm proud of you" between a parent and a child. The "we made it" after a hard year. The "I see you" between two people who have built a life together. I believe with my whole heart that those moments deserve to be celebrated. They deserve to be made tangible. They deserve to sparkle.
Jewelry, to me, has always been more than adornment. It's a love language. It's a time capsule. It's the most personal art form in the world—because it lives on the body of someone you adore.
Why Ellsworth Jewelers
When I had the opportunity to begin Ellsworth Jewelers, I felt it in my bones. This place. These people. This community. Downeast Maine isn't just where I work—it's where I'm from; it's where I belong. Our clients aren't transactions; they're neighbors, friends, and the keepers of some of the most beautiful love stories I've ever had the privilege to hear.
"I don't sell jewelry. I help people put their love into something they can hold."
Every single day, I get to be part of moments that people will remember for the rest of their lives. The proposal. The push present. The "we made it to 50 years" anniversary band. The redesigned ring that finally honors the grandmother who started it all. I don't take a single one of those moments for granted.
What I Promise You
When you walk through the doors of Ellsworth Jewelers, you are not walking into a transaction. You are walking into a relationship.
I promise to listen—really listen—to the story you want your piece to tell. I promise to be honest about stones, metals, design, and value. I promise to bring you into the process so you feel ownership over every choice. I promise to treat your heirlooms like the treasures they are. And I promise that when you finally see your finished piece, I'll be just as emotional as you are. (Fair warning: I cry. A lot. Happily.)
That's the Ellsworth Jewelers difference. That's the sparkle promise.
